CITY OF BUNKER HILL VILLAGE

SPECIAL MEETING

DECEMBER 7, 2006 

Mayor Pro Tem Essary called the special meeting of the City Council of the City of Bunker Hill Village to order at 5:00 p.m. in Council Chambers of City Hall located at 11977 Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas.

I.                    CALL TO ORDER

II.                  DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING REQUEST FOR PRELIMINARY AND FINAL APPROVAL OF A PLAT OF ONE TRACT OF LAND, AS RECORDED IN THE HARRIS COUNTY DEED RECORDS, TO CREATE SIX (6) LOTS ON RAYDON LANE, SPECIFICALLY IN THE PROPOSED RAYDON ESTATES SUBDIVISION, A SUBDIVISION OF 3.2670 ACRES SITUATED IN THE JOHN D. TAYLOR SURVEY (A-72) HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS.

The following persons spoke with regard to this item:

Planning & Zoning Chairman Bill Purifoy briefed the council on the results of their meeting which was held this morning, and noted that there are some drainage problems.

Steve Smith explained the drainage issue with the Coffield’s who live at 335 Knipp Forest and noted that we have the opportunity to ensure that there is no issue by having inlets installed. He also noted that Klotz Associates agrees that the system is adequate.

Mayor Pro Tem Essary asked Steve Smith about the street improvements, to which Steve replied that it will be a concrete street with no curbs, and it will have side inlets with swales running on each side of the road.  He further noted that the sanitary sewer will be extended.

Motion was made by Councilman Ellis and seconded by Councilmember Belco to grant preliminary approval pursuant to the recommendation by the Planning & Zoning Commission.  Motion carried 5 to 0.

Motion was made by Councilman Ellis and seconded by Councilmember Belco to grant final approval.  Motion carried 5 to 0.

III.               ADJOURNMENT

Motion was made by Councilmember Belco and seconded by Councilman Tuters to adjourn the meeting.  Motion carried 5 to 0 and the meeting was adjourned at 5:24 p.m.
