MINUTES OF THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION MEETING

THURSDAY, JULY 31, 2008

5:30 P.M.

Chairman Bill Purifoy called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers, located at 11977 Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas.

1.   DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING MINUTES OF MAY 1, 2008

      Motion was made by Gary Orr and seconded by Bob Croyle to approve the minutes of May 1, 2008 as submitted.  Motion carried 5-0.

2.   DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING A REQUEST FROM THE CONGREGATION OF THE PASSION, OWNER OF THE HOLY NAME RETREAT CENTER LOCATED AT 430 BUNKER HILL ROAD, FOR A SPECIFIC USE PERMIT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW GARAGE/SHED ON ITS SITE.

      Chairman Purifoy opened the public hearing at 5:35 p.m. for comments.

      There being no one in the audience requesting to speak, Chairman Purifoy closed the public hearing at 5:39 p.m.

      After reviewing the proposal, motion was made by Gerald Teel and seconded by Al Augustine to approve the request as submitted.  Motion carried 5-0.

3.   ADJOURN

Motion was made by Bob Croyle and seconded by Gary Orr to adjourn the meeting at 5:40 p.m.  Motion carried 5-0.

Approved and accepted on September 22, 2009.
